Did you know? Part 6 (Poinsettia)

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 11:29 am

The bigger the bracts, the smaller the flower!

The bigger HE is in you, the smaller you are!

The ATTENTION cannot be on the person!

The ATTENTION cannot be on the church!

The ATTENTION cannot be on the talent!  Because if it is, there will be no reproduction of Christ in you.

There must be the Anointing (Glory) that draws.  THE ATTENTION MUST BE ON HIM!

Did you know? part 5 (poinsettia)

that the flower of the poinsettia is the small, yellow center! It’s not a “showy” flower. Your eye would never catch a glimpse of the poinsettia flower without those awesome leaves or bracts which are located right under the actual yellow center. The bracts (leaves) have a very special job. They draw the insects to the flower so it can be pollinated. That is the only way the poinsettia has to reproduce.

They also call the bracts the “glory” of the plant. It is the bracts or the glory that draws!  You must be like the Poinsettia flower not bringing the attention to yourself. You must have the glory (anointing of God) to reproduce. Jesus said ,” And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.” (John 12:32).  When people see you, they must see Him. To get the glory you must spend time in His presence.  Your season will change!

Did you know? Part 4 (poinsettia)

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 11:55 am

Do you feel like a weed? Just like the Poinsettia, it blooms in the desert. Just keep being who you are! God has placed His treasure in earthen vessels (that’s us). Don’t ever put yourself down! Know this: (Psalms 139:14), “I will praise thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy workd; and that my sould knoweth right well.” In the morning, look in the mirror and say it. Say it before you go to bed. Say it until you start believing about yourself!

Who would have ever thought a weed could change the world. But it did! You can too!

Did You Know? Part 3 (Poinsettia)

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 12:06 pm

The poinsettia is just a WEED! Not a beautiful rose that people work hard to reproduce. Not a flower so rare that it only blooms one time in its’ whole life. These flowers are awesome.

Ralph Waldo Emerson’s definition of a weed is “a plant whos virtues have not yet been discovered, which describes the poinsettia.”

The difinition of the word virtue is: quality of righteousness, goodness, or moral excellence, the inherent strength to produce effect; any good quality or admirable trait of character.

The poinsettia was just waiting to be discovered. It was growing out in the wilderness. It wasn’t complaining about being in the middle of nowhere or being in the midst of all the other ugly weeds. But it was blooming where it was planted.

You are like the poinsettia. No matter where you are planted, grow and bloom cause God has a plan for you to be discovered! God not only has a plan but a season for you!

Did you know? Part 2 (Poinsettia)

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 11:06 am

The poinsettia growing freely in the wild grows from two to ten feet tall! And the colorful leaves grow from six to eight inches wide! But that is only if it is growing free with no restrictions. When potted it only grows one to four feet tall.

God is wanting us to grow freely in Him! Are you restricted? Don’t allow things, people, and most of all, yourself from receiving all that God has for you. GET OUT OF THE POT! What do you get excited about? What do you love to do? Go for it. God has a purpose and a season for you! Grow Freely In Him Starting Today!

Did You Know? Part 1 (Poinsettia)

Did you know that a poinsettia is just a weed?

We have Joel Poinsett to thank for this awesome plant. Here’s is some of his history: He served as a South Carolina State Legislator, United States Congressman Advisor at West Point, Secretary of War to President Van Buren, and the First Ambassador to Mexico. Also, because of his love for plants, he founded the National Institution for the Promotion of Science, which is better know today as the “Smithsonian Institution”.

Joel NEVER let his job interfere with his passion. While taking a walk through the countryside in Mexico, he discovered this breathtaking bush. He wanted all to see so he shipped the poinsettia back to the Carolinas in 1820. The rest is history.  His passion and what he did with it impacts our Christmas Season today!

What are you passion about? It could change someone’s life!
